Julie K.L. Mecklenburg is a member of the Counseling and Drafting Division.

Ms. Mecklenburg received a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the New York University School of Law.  She is currently licensed to practice law in Hawai‘i and California and admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the District of Hawai‘i.

Her legal experience prior to joining the Office of the Corporation Counsel included serving as Assistant Attorney General for the Federated States of Micronesia, as Staff Counsel to the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia and in private practice with large firms in San Francisco and Chicago.

Ms. Mecklenburg is a member of the Hawai‘i State Bar and the Hawai‘i County Bar Associations.
