Bill Title Amends Chapter 2, Article 26 of the Hawai‘i County Code relating to salary grades for the

deputies in the Office of the Corporation Counsel and the Office of the Prosecuting

Attorney. States the proposal will provide the respective department heads with the

flexibility to reward meritorious performances without having to raise salaries across the

board, eliminate differentation between deputies and place them on equal footing and

eliminate the ever present dangr of unhealthy professional jealousy between departments.
