Bill Title

Amends Chapter 20, of the Hawai‘i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition) relating to littering and refuse

disposal (changes the penalties for littering by removing the option of community service; and

changes the penalties for illegal refuse disposal by 1) increasing the maximum fine to $1,000 for

each violation; 2) adding imprisonment, with a sentence of up to 30 days for each violation; 3)

adding a sentence of both fine and imprisonment; and 4) removing the option of community service.
