SUMMER FUN LEARN TO SWIM
The Summer Fun Learn to Swim Program is offered at County pools around the island. Registration and class times are different for each pool. A small fee of $10.00 is charged for each class. Please check the pool schedule in your community for classes, registration dates, times and method of payment.
NOVICE SWIM TEAM
The Novice Swim Team program is an introduction to competitive swimming open to youth ages 17 and under. The program encourages youth to develop their individual swimming and diving abilities and to promote a healthy team and community spirit. There are Novice Swim Teams at most County pools. Please check the pool in your community for registration, practice days, times and method of payment. Fees for Novice Swim Team are $25.00 per child. Swim meets are held at different County pools around the island. See schedule below.

ADULT CLASSES
Registration for adult classes will be held on the first day of the month or the quarter that the class is held.
Quarters are: Dec-Feb, March-May, June-Aug, Sept-Nov
Water Exercise 10:00 10:45 am M/W/F Adult Begin/Inter Swimming 10:00 10:45 am T/Th Fitness Swimming 4:30 5:30 pm T/Th Water Exercise 4:45 5:30 pm M/W/F Water Exercise requires persons to enter and exit the pool, maintain balance within the water, listen to, understand and follow instructions, take steps in the water, jump, jog, move arms, stretch, exert moderate to heavy physical effort.
Fees for the adult classes are $15.00 a month or $45.00 a quarter.
PREREQUISITES FOR KEIKI LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAMS PLEASE READ INFORMATION BELOW !!
Level 1-4 is for keiki ages 5 (born before July 31, 2004) and up.
Level 1 is for keiki who are 5 years old and up and are terrified of the water. They will not get their head wet.
Level 2 is for keiki 5 years old and up. They are comfortable in the water but do not know how to swim yet or cannot swim the minimal distance to go to Level 3.
Level 3 requires your keiki to be able to swim at least 10 yards on their front with their face down, blowing bubbles and using their arms and legs. The keiki must also be able to swim on their back for at least 10 yards using their arms and legs.
Level 4 requires your keiki to be able to swim the width of the pool on their front doing side breathing, swim 15 yards elementary backstroke, 10 yards sidestroke kick, tread water, butterfly kick and dive in the deep end of the pool.
